It's time to prepare for Peace Day

Dear Friend,
I hope you are well and that your plans for Peace Day are coming together nicely. Our preparations for 21 September are really beginning to take shape. In terms of exposure to the message of the day this will be the greatest Peace Day yet, thanks to your amazing efforts. Let us know about your plans, and please encourage others to get involved.
I’m delighted that the Peace One Day celebration on 21 September this year will take place at the Amahoro stadium in Kigali, with a major focus on youth. The 2015 Peace One Day Youth Celebration– made possible with the generous support of the Howard G. Buffett Foundation – aims to inspire and mobilise the youth of Rwanda and the Great Lakes region of Africa. I would like to thank the Government of Rwanda for their enthusiasm and commitment to Peace Day, and for giving us the opportunity to hold our Peace Day celebration in Rwanda this year.
Everyone is welcome to come and celebrate in the incredible setting of the Amahoro Stadium in Kigali*. If you’d like to bring young people from where you are to join with the youth of Rwanda and the region at the event on 21 September, then please let us know by emailing Liza Bel atliza.bel@peaceoneday.org.
I’m similarly delighted to announce that in collaboration with long-term Peace One Day partners Coca Cola, a peace anthem has been created. It will be performed for the first time by leading African artists on Peace Day at the Amahoro stadium and will be available on iTunes for Peace Day. We also look forward to working with the anthem in the lead-up to Peace Day 2016.
